Procedures for using the Library Media Center

YOUNG HOOSIER BOOK AWARD PROGRAM
West Side students may participate in this state-wide program. 20 books at the Intermediate category and 20 books in the Middle School category have been nominated for the 2008-2009 award. To qualify for voting, students must read 5 nominated books by April 15 and pass the Reading Counts quiz for the book. English and Reading teachers offer extra credit for participation, and students are rewarded with a voting breakfast in the library, a dress down day, and a pass to the front of the lunch line.
