Year 2: Summer Job Shadow and Leadership Camp
Job Shadow at businesses throughout East Chicago for approximately 20 hours during the summer.
Receive lessons on how to complete a resume, how to meet and address potential employers, and how to act at the workplace.
Workplace mentors meet EC teens in a one-on-one situation, where the adults are able to see the good qualities of our youth and experience the enthusiasm that young people bring to new situations.
Attend a three day leadership camp at Vincennes University sponsored by the Indiana Association of School Principals
Summer 2007:
Participants shadowed professionals in various jobs in East Chicago and went to Vincennes leadership camp.
