GROUPWISE

Why am I unable to use GroupWise via AOL? When I Web access GroupWise via AOL, I get the log in screen and when I put in my name and password the login fails and delivers this message: Error: "Your login is not current. Please log in again."
GroupWise
WebAccess has a security feature which prevents other users from connecting to
your e-mail account while your e-mail account is active. Your account is
considered active while you are logged in or if you close your browse without
logging out. When dialing up via AOL (or some other ISPs) your workstation
establishes a connection to a server, called a proxy. GroupWise WebAccess
verifies that the IP address of the server is consistent for all communication
with your workstation. This security check prevents another workstation or a
hacker from accessing your e-mail during your active session.
AOL uses multiple proxy servers to help with load balancing. If the IP address of the proxy server changes during your login, the security feature interprets this as someone else trying to access your e-mail and prevents further communication. Also, AOL 7.0 caches web communications in such a way that communication with web services such as GroupWise WebAccess is routed through multiple servers simultaneously. This results in your sign on request being fragmented across two or more proxy servers that invalidate your sign on because the IP address of the requesting server is not consistent.
The GroupWise client is, and has always been, the recommended method for communication with GroupWise. If you choose to use a web browser to access GroupWise, we suggest using Internet Explorer, instead of the AOL browser.
