How can I receive training on district installed
software such as EdEase, Inspiration, Compass Learning or Microsoft
Office applications, etc?
Teachers can request training at any time. They only
need to have a training scheduled and the approval of your building
principal and or administrator. However, we are not limited to
providing training for only teachers and staff. Students can also be
provided training and modeling of software use during your computer lab
time. Or if scheduling lab time is not an option, a small group
presentation can be provided in your classroom. You can contact Adriana
Martinez or Mary Jensen at the SCEC Training Center for more information. The SCEC Training Center
number is 391-4254.
How do I schedule a training?
You can contact your building Technology Coordinator to
set up a time and date. Be sure to let your coordinator know if training
is for an individual, a group of teachers, or for students. Be specific
as to what training you are requesting.
You can also contact your department supervisor,
principal or school improvement team to arrange a
customized grade level or departmental training.
What if I don't have time to schedule a training?
There are several training resources located on the
SCEC Intranet if you prefer to learn at your own pace. We have
step-by-step guides, Power Point presentations and short videos to
assist you. You must be
logged into the network as a teacher or staff member to access these
documents.
What if I don't find what I am looking for on
the SCEC Intranet?
You can request for a professional development
guide or help sheet to be developed for your needs. It may take time for
this to be created, but as always, we are more than happy to assist. If
you have any other suggestions, please post them below.
