It is wise to review procedures relative to the closing of schools due to weather emergencies as we approach the time when we can expect inclement weather. We will use the same routine for announcements as in previous years. The official announcement of a school closing will be made over the following radio stations; Z107 (107.1 FM), Indiana , 105 (105.5 FM), Shine FM/ WONU 89.7 FM, WAKE (1500 AM), and WJOB (1230 AM). In addition,  television station WYIN-TV Channel 56 along with www.Cancellations.com on the Internet, will post closings of our schools. . Every effort will be made to have the announcement made before 7:00 A.M., but we have no control over that situation.

Parents and students are encouraged to listen to the stations for the official announcement, and asked not to call each school or the radio stations. This would only serve to impair communication.

Students and and parents are to consider that schools will be open in the absence of any school closing announcement.
